Murano chandelier belong to the old tradition of glass making on the famous island of the Venitian lagune.
This tradition started 1000 years ago in Venice city (Rialto) and was transferred to Murano in the 12th century where the crystal (the same used in all the world nowadays) was invented in the same period. Murano chandelier probably at the beginning of their use were destined only to illuminate as simple candle holders, but as the richness of Venice was expanding and the buildings were becoming more and more luxurious, glass chandelier started to be an important element of decoration surrounded by elegant and costly paintings and furniture in very elegant buildings. Murano masters made the chandeliers extremely elaborated through the centuries and nowadays we can admire these masterworks that we are capable to reproduce. Murano chandelier in their various styles are able to transform the look of any environment enhancing any important room. After centuries of production of these masterpieces,our clients have the opportunity to own and admire these works of art the same as the Venetians have always done.
